How does the per-student pricing work?

Each student gets their own Skill Passport billed annually. International pricing is $4/student/month ($48/year). Students in India are charged ₹149/student/month (₹1,788/year). An optional NFC Skill Passport Card is available for ₹999 one time in India including shipping or $49 one time outside India including shipping. Schools with 100+ students can contact us for a School License with volume pricing.

Do I need the NFC card to use my Skill Passport?

No. The NFC card is completely optional. Your Skill Passport is the core product and is available online through your personal URL, so you can access and share it from any device. The NFC card simply makes sharing easier in person with a quick tap.

Is the Skill Passport truly lifelong?

Yes. The Skill Passport grows with the student from school through university and into their career. All attested achievements, credentials, and verified records remain with the student regardless of which institution they attend.

How does teacher attestation work?

Students log an achievement and request attestation from a trusted teacher, principal, or mentor. The educator reviews the evidence and digitally signs their approval — creating a cryptographically verifiable, tamper-proof record in the student's Skill Passport.

Can students add external certificates and badges?

Yes. Students can add certificates and badges from any provider — Coursera, Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and more — into their credential wallet alongside their attested school achievements.

What open standards does SkillStory use?

SkillStory is built on IMS Global's Comprehensive Learner Record (CLR) standard and Open Badges v3, ensuring credentials are recognised and portable across universities and employers worldwide.
