SkillStory is an all-in-one e-portfolio platform designed for students and early professionals to showcase their skills, achievements, credentials, and professional identity. By accessing or using SkillStory, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the platform.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and anyone who accesses or uses the SkillStory platform, including its website, mobile applications, and associated services.
To access certain features of SkillStory, you must create an account. When creating your account, you agree to:
SkillStory reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.
You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or publish on SkillStory, including profiles, portfolios, projects, certifications, resumes, and any other materials ("User Content").
By submitting User Content to SkillStory, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, display, process, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services. We will never sell your personal content to third parties.
You are solely responsible for ensuring your User Content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
SkillStory allows you to create and publish digital resumes and portfolios that can be shared with employers, institutions, and the public. When publishing content, you agree that:

The Job Discovery feature on SkillStory aggregates job opportunities from public sources, company career pages, and partner listings to help you find relevant opportunities. Important terms regarding this feature:

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.
All content, features, software, and functionality on SkillStory — including but not limited to the SkillStory name, logo, design, code, and user interface — are the exclusive property of SkillStory and its licensors, protected under applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create derivative works from SkillStory's proprietary content without our prior written consent. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy explains in detail how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use SkillStory. By using the platform, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
We are committed to complying with applicable data protection regulations, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India). You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@skillstory.org.
SkillStory may integrate with or link to third-party services, platforms, or websites — such as credential issuers, job boards, payment processors, or social media platforms. Please note that:

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime in advance. SkillStory is not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by temporary unavailability of the platform.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SkillStory and its officers, directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of data, profits, reputation, or business opportunities — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the platform.
SkillStory's total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
SkillStory retains your personal data and User Content for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide services to you. Upon account deletion:

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of SkillStory shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Both parties agree to first attempt to resolve any disputes informally by contacting SkillStory support before initiating formal legal proceedings.
